Fix & Flow Plumbing was dispatched to Veranex Labs on Saturday, August 2nd, after staff reported that the animal containment room troughs were not draining properly. Upon inspection, technician Michael Lamb found that all but one room were experiencing complete backups, with no visible water movement.
During the initial visit, technicians accessed the hallway cleanout and made multiple passes with a large drain snake in an attempt to relieve the blockage. Despite repeated efforts, only minimal flow was established. Given the severity of the issue, we determined that full hydrojetting would be required to restore proper drainage.
On Monday, August 4th, technicians Bryan Hibbard and Camden Pullara returned with our hydrojetting equipment. Using high-pressure water jets, we performed a complete cleaning of the main sewer line from the hallway cleanout. After several passes, the blockage was successfully cleared. All connected fixtures, including the hallway toilet, were tested and confirmed to be draining properly.
The obstruction was most likely caused by accumulated animal hay and debris, consistent with what was recovered during both visits.
The Result: The main sewer line is now fully clear and functional, with all troughs and fixtures operating as intended. Veranex Labs can now rely on a properly draining system, minimizing disruption to daily operations in the containment facility.
