When Austin encountered a persistent leak at the base of his toilet, he knew it was time to call in the experts. This project not only required a fix for the visible issue, but also an eye for the underlying problems affecting the home.

The Issue

Austin’s leaking toilet was much more than a mere inconvenience. It was a warning sign of other potential plumbing issues that could compromise the house’s structural integrity. The entire project indicated deeper trouble that needed urgent and thorough attention.

Our Solution

Upon arrival, our technician Bryan quickly diagnosed the problem: the toilet was severely loose and the wax seal at the base had shifted, causing it to leak after every flush. Bryan and his team carefully removed the toilet to gain better access. Then they installed a new wax seal and secured the toilet back in place. After resetting the toilet, Bryan thoroughly tested the system to confirm it was leak free.

During his visit, Bryan discovered that the water pressure in the home was an unusually high 100 PSI due to a failed Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV). Understanding the potential long-term damage high water pressure could cause, our team promptly shut off the water supply before removing the old PRV and installing a brand new one. They then carefully adjusted the pressure to a much safer 70 PSI. This final step not only resolved the initial issue, but will ensure Austin’s home and plumbing system are protected from any future damage.
